Another major advantage

If we get rid of Torridge, most of the staff will be out of work.  There are not the jobs in the area, so they’ll all have to go back where they came from, leaving a glut of houses on the market, reducing the costs in order to sell them, allowing local residents to be able to afford them, thus solving the affordable homes problem without having to ruin the landscape building new ones.

 

Job done.

(I do jest, just in case anyone thinks that’s a measure of my understanding of economics … but wouldn’t it be good if it did work out like that?!)
